Another benefit for the large company is to not have the existing culture that is driving current business infected by "cowboys". In fact, if you "spin out" or create external vehicles though investment, incubators, or accelerators, large enterprises may get the best of both worlds.

Dipak M.
Regarding this topic, I usually recommend the following book as a reference: "The Other Side of Innovation" by Vijay Govindarajan and Chris Trimble. It perfectly complements my own book, Business Model Generation.

Re: Lean Startups & Big Companies: Challenges and Recommendations

Hi David, great post!

Lean Startup Vancouver is hosting an event with a subject "Can We Be Lean In All Stages?" that might find some insight into this issue.

Hope that our conclusion is the qualified yes as well.

But you told we can not check it manually and mentioned about a script. Where can I get one? Help needed. thanks in advance...

Re: How To Buy Expiring Domain Names: Lessons Learned

Thanks for your tips. So, if we are the only entity in the auction at the completion of grace period (generally 40 days from expiry-date), do we get the domain, or does it still go through 30-days redemption period.

She struggles with computers, but the iPad 'just works' for her. It's a delight to see. I don't think the stores do a good job selling it though... it took my cousin to sell my mum on it

Re: The iPad faces the Mom Test

Disqus UI is poor... made me think my post was lost - ha ha

Re: Why Amazon’s Facebook Integration Revolutionizes The Recommendations Space

While social recommendations may be superior in their ability to engage users vis-a-vis machine-generated recommendations (think Hunch, DailyPerfect, etc.), social recommendations are not infallible, especially if used in a way contrary to the mechanics of social media.
